BIO:
Matthew S. Goldfarb joined Troubh Heisler in 2009 after practicing in the Portland, Maine area as a sole practitioner in excess of 40 years. A major part of Matthew’s practice is in the areas of creditor’s rights, collection, bankruptcy, foreclosure and subrogation.

Matthew is a member of the Maine State and American Bar Associations, Maine Trial Lawyers Association, Commercial Law League of America. Matthew is also a member of the Chief Justice’s Business and Consumer Docket Advisory Committee (2007 to present) and was a member and Chairman Panel 1-A, Fee Advisory Committee for the Overseers of the Bar (2001-2008). He is also a member of Judicial Branch Advisory Committee on Fees, 2008-2009.
Matthew is the Past Chairman, New England Regional Members Association of the Commercial Law League of America; Past President, Cumberland County Bar Association.

In addition to his law practice, Matthew has been a frequent seminar presenter for the Maine State Bar Association, the Commercial Law League of America, The Cumberland County Bar Association, Lorman Education Services, and other national companies in various fields relating to collection law, as well as a moderator for the presentation entitled “Judgment Enforcement,” by Lorman Education Services.

Matthew has served his community as President of Temple Beth El, and with service organizations such as the Deering Lions Club. He was also a past-President of the LARK Society for Chamber Music, which sponsors the Portland String Quartet. For over 25 years, Matthew has been affiliated with Project FEED, a nonsectarian food pantry located at the Woodfords Congregational Church – United Church of Christ in Portland, Maine.
